An admirer and performer of composer Franz Liszt whose 100th jubilee year is widely celebrated by musicians, Brendel portrays the composer as one of the giants of the 19th century. He also explains his view on the special qualities essential for performing Chopin whom he has chosen not to include in his repertoires.
